Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Gulf Coasts Co. LLC (“GCCO”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website. It should be read together with our privacy information.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies (such as local storage) work the same way. They let a site remember your actions and preferences so the site works properly, and help us understand how it is used.
Strictly necessary — always on
These are required for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They do not track you for advertising.
- Sign-in session — a secure, HttpOnly cookie that keeps you signed in after you log in with your phone number (customers) or as staff. It is bound to your device so it cannot be reused if copied.
- Shopping cart & preferences — stored in your browser so your cart and choices survive page reloads.
- Sign-in security check (Google reCAPTCHA) — used on our sign-in forms only, to tell a person apart from an automated script trying passwords or draining our SMS credit. Google sets a cookie (
_GRECAPTCHA) and receives your IP address and information about how you interacted with the page. There is no puzzle to solve. It loads when a sign-in form is opened and not on ordinary browsing, and Google's Privacy Policy applies to what it collects.
Analytics & marketing
These help us understand traffic, improve the site and measure our marketing. They record how the site is used in aggregate — they do not read your personal files and we do not sell your data. You can switch them off at any time using your browser's cookie settings, or a browser extension that blocks trackers.
- Google Analytics 4 — usage statistics — pages viewed, where visitors arrived from, device type
- Microsoft Clarity — aggregated heat-maps and usage recordings, so we can find confusing pages
- Cloudflare — delivers the site and protects it from attack, so all traffic passes through it, and counts visits for us without using cookies
These providers are third parties with their own privacy policies. This list reflects what is actually switched on right now.
Our own visit counter — no cookie
We count page views and clicks on our WhatsApp buttons ourselves, without any cookie and without storing anything in your browser. Instead of an identifier we store a one-way code made from your network address and browser, mixed with a secret and with today's date — so it changes every day and the same visitor cannot be recognised tomorrow. Your network address itself is not stored, and blocking cookies has no effect on it because it uses none.
Managing your choices
You can block or delete cookies at any time from your browser's settings, and most browsers can block third-party tracking outright. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies may stop parts of the site — such as signing in or checking out — from working.
